These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website at www.mid-walesha.co.uk (the "Website"). By accessing this Website and/or submitting an enquiry you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

USING THIS WEBSITE INDICATES THAT YOU ACCEPT THESE TERMS REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT YOU CHOOSE TO REGISTER WITH US OR SUBMIT A CV. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THESE TERMS, DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE.

It is prohibited to access the Website from territories where its contents are illegal or unlawful. If you access this Website from locations outside the United Kingdom, you do so at your own risk and you are responsible for compliance with local laws.

If you breach these terms and conditions then your permission to use this Website terminates immediately without the necessity of any notice being given to you.

10.1 You may not assign, sub-license or otherwise transfer any of your rights under these terms and conditions

10.2 If any provision of these terms and conditions is found by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions which shall continue to have full force and effect.

10.3 Only the parties to these terms and conditions may seek to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

10.4 We may alter these terms and conditions from time-to-time and post the new version on our Website, following which all our Website will be governed by that version. You must check the terms and conditions on the Website regularly.

10.5 Failure or delay by either party enforcing an obligation or exercising a right under these terms and conditions does not constitute a waiver of that obligation or right.

11. Notices

11.1 All notices to be given by you to us shall:
(a) be via e-mail at info@mid-walesha.co.uk and by post addressed to the Data Controller at Mid-Wales Housing Association Ltd, Tŷ Canol House, Ffordd Croesawdy, Newtown, Powys, SY16 1AL; and
(b) will be deemed received three days after the date of posting.

11.2 All notices to be given by us to you shall:
(a) be via the e-mail or postal address that you provide to us; and
(b) will be deemed received when an e-mail is received in full (or else on the next business day if it is received on a weekend public holiday in the place of receipt) or three days after the date of posting.

12. Replacement

12.1 These terms and conditions replace all other terms and conditions previously applicable to the use of the Website.

 

Section B - Terms & Conditions Of Competitions

The following terms and conditions apply to competitions currently running within the Association. Please refer to the closing dates, judging and announcement dates for each competition listed.

1. Gardening Competition (2018) - Terms and Conditions

Categories:

  1. Best sheltered scheme garden or communal garden
  2. Best vegetable garden, bed or allotment
  3. Best kept garden
  4. Best young gardener (16 years and younger)
  5. Best hanging basket or floral display
  6. Best bee-friendly or eco/wildlife garden

Entries for the garden competition close on Monday, 2nd July, 2018

The competition will be judged on 16th July, 2018

The results of the judging will be announced at Mid-Wales Housing's Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, 5th September, 2018.

Rules of the Competition:

  • Entries must be from tenants and leaseholders of Mid-Wales Housing.
  • Entries must be received on the nomination form provided or by email.
  • Previous winners may enter the competition.
  • All gardening work must be done by the tenant or leaseholder.
  • You are permitted to enter more than one category.
  • By entering this competition you are confirming that you are 18 years and older, except for category 4.
  • Signed parental consent must be received for the Young Gardener category.
  • By entering the competition you give Mid-Wales Housing permission to use photographs of your garden for promotional material.
  • By entering you agree that Mid-Wales Housing may share your address and contact information with the judges for the purpose of judging the garden competition. Following the closure of the competition, this information will be deleted.
  • The judges' decision is final
  • Mid-Wales Housing cannot accept any responsibility for loss or delay to entries.
  • No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.
  • By entering this competition, you are indicating your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

 

2. Neighbour Of The Year (2018) - Terms and Conditions

Nominations are sought for neighbours who go above and beyond to help others in the community.

Closing date for entries – 16th July, 2018

The winner will be announced at Mid-Wales Housing's Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 5th September, 2018.

Rules of the Competition

  • Entries must be received on the nomination form provided or by email giving the reasons for the nomination.
  • Nominations cannot be made by a relative of the person being nominated or an employee of Mid-Wales Housing Association.
  • The person nominated must be a Mid-Wales Housing tenant or leaseholder although the person nominating does not have to be.
  • You must have the permission of the person nominated prior to submitting the entry.
  • By nominating a neighbour for this competition you are confirming that you are 18 years or older.
  • Only one entrant is permitted per person.
  • By nominating a person for the competition you give Mid-Wales Housing permission to use photographs for promotional material.
  • A panel of judges will decide upon the winning entry based on the information received. The judges' decision is final.
  • Mid-Wales Housing cannot accept any responsibility for loss or delay to entries.
  • No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.
  • We will notify the winner prior to the presentation evening.
  • By entering this competition, you are indicating your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

 

3. Win a Goody Bag (2018) - Terms and Conditions

Mid-Wales Housing Association would like to reward residents who have maintained a clear rent account by entering them into a prize draw. The prize draw is open to all residents of the Association.

To qualify for the prize draw you must have:

  • A credit/zero balance on your rent account at the time of the draw
  • No breaches of your tenancy/leasehold agreement
  • A valid gas safety certificate if applicable

We will automatically enter all the qualifying residents into the draw unless residents have requested not to be included.

The draw will take place on the first Tuesday of each month at Mid-Wales Housing's office.

The winner will be drawn by automatically generated tenancy/leasehold reference number.

The winner will be contacted within 14 days of the closing date of the prize draw. If the winner is unable to be contacted or should the winner be unable to accept the prize, Mid-Wales Housing reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner, drawn in accordance with these terms and conditions.

The winner will receive a goody bag delivered by Mid-Wales Housing.

No cash alternative is available.

It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the entrant agrees to abide by these rules.
