Innovative Housing Programme

Mid-Wales Housing Association is delighted that it has been included in the Welsh Government's Innovative Housing Programme for 2017/18. The Welsh Government's recent announcement of approved schemes includes a redevelopment scheme proposed by Mid-Wales Housing in Welshpool – where the emphasis will be on highly efficient construction and an intention to tackle issues of fuel poverty by reducing energy costs.

Sian Howells, Director of New Business at Mid-Wales Housing said: "The Innovative Housing Programme is a very positive and welcome initiative by the Welsh Government. It allows more development of interesting and high quality homes in a shortened time frame, and here at Mid-Wales Housing we are keen to be at the forefront of new ideas and to provide more quality affordable homes. We are delighted that the Welsh Government's rigorous assessment process found that our scheme is worthy of this significant grant and look forward to bringing the scheme forward".

More details of the scheme will be unveiled shortly, but any queries about the scheme can be addressed to Mid-Wales Housing Association, Ty Canol House, Ffordd Croesawdy, Newtown, Powys, SY16 1AL Tel: 0300 111 3030.
